Assignment Unit 5 - TV & Short film production Task 4 - P4 / M3 P4 Focus group questionnaire for the final production to obtain feedback about the film we had created, this allows us to pose question to a sample of our target audience to see if they liked the film and what improvements could be made. The focus group comprised of a mix of boys and girls aged 16, who all live in East London, this was a good sample as the film is based on Urban Legends in East London so they will be able to relate to the content and tell me if it appeals to their demographic. There was a variety of different backgrounds in my group so i was able to see if the film was interesting to people of different demographics. We presented the film to the group with a short introduction and after they watched the film, we left the group to complete their questionnaires individually. Assignment Unit 5 - TV & Short film production Task 3 - P3 / M2 / D2 P3 This is a screenshot of the editing process of the making of the short film. It shows the software used for our short film 'Final Cut Pro'. It demonstrates have to footage was placed in order to create the narrative of our short film. We needed to apply colour correction to make sure the images maintained the slightly dark tone we wanted to help show the environment was unsafe. We also used audio effects by layering different voiceovers and sound effects to create the haunting whispering sounds which make out film a mystery. Assignment Unit 5 - TV & Short film production Task 2 - P2 / M1 / D1 P2 Filmed evidence of equipment setup During the equipment setup, I had to demonstrate a variety of procedures. These include various steps like setting up the tripod, attaching the baseplate to the camera, extending cables and others... The most important parts of the set up were: doing the white balance, checking audio levels, focusing camera and exposure. White balance has to do with the colour of the light and it was necessary to make sure the lighting was balanced for all the shots. Although different light sources have different colour tones, by setting up the white balance the camera makes sure all indoor and outdoor lights are smoothly assembled. Therefore, avoiding any shots to look too bright or too dark.
